More than your photographer, I’m in your corner. Capturing what matters most.
Hi my name is Mark Dowie and I am based out of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
I know the power of family because it’s at the centre of my own life. That means I understand the importance of your parents’ tears, your siblings’ inside jokes and your grandparents’ proud smiles.
Family moments aren’t side notes; they’re the heartbeat of your story, which is why my focus is documentary with an editorial touch.
By the time your day arrives, I want you to feel like we’re friends. Because when trust and comfort are there, the nerves fade, and the real, unposed you comes out.
That’s where the magic happens...the belly laughs, the quiet touches, and the moments you’ll relive again and again.
You’ll never feel left in the dark. You’ll be guided when needed, and get to be in the moment, so the process feels effortless and stress-free.

MY ARTISTIC APPROACH
I am able to capture romantic & genuine intimate images that look completely natural, because I make a point to get to know all of the couples I work with. This allow me to get to know your creative vision and also allows you, to trust my process as an enjoyable, relaxed environment, that we have created through the familiarity of friendship.
Through this process, I am able to capture your adventurous fun side, with playful activities, that allow you to express yourself and allow me capture that expression, as a natural part of your personality. This way the photographs express who you are, not just what you look like.

Why I Am A Wedding Photographer
"When you think about how much money and effort a bride and groom puts into their wedding day, it really is a massive privilage and honour to be given the job of imortalising it, as artistic images. As a married man myself, I know exactly how much planning a wedding takes and how fast the actual wedding day is and it is for that reason, that I will be with you all the way. Always on hand to ensure that you not only get the photographs you dreamed of, but also to ensure you are able to enjoy your special day, as the photographs become part of the fun, rather than something you simply have to get done"
